General Details

Whether you’re recertifying for the 1st time or for the 10th, you’ll need to complete both AHIP and Humana-specific training. You will have 6 attempts to pass the AHIP test with a minimum passing score of 90%. This year, you will not have a test over the Humana content presented. 

Note: Spanish versions will be delayed until after the June 30th launch. Look for additional communications on Spanish versions.

Certification-only: Agents who complete the 2021 initial certification are allowed to sell plans with 2020 effective dates through 12/01/2020. Remember, all agents must complete all of Certification prior to selling Humana’s Medicare Advantage or PDP products.


AHIP:
AHIP is required for both Certification and Recertification. When you purchase your AHIP test packages (3 test attempts per package) through the certification/recertification course on HMU, Humana offers you a discount.  Your test packages will cost $125 rather than the $175 AHIP cost.  You will have 6 attempts to pass AHIP.  Should you need to purchase a second set of tests, you will receive the discount by repeating the process through HMU. 

• You took the courses through Humana MarketPoint University, AND
• You have successfully enrolled ten (10) MA OR forty (40) PDP January 1, 2020 effective members – members must be accredited with CMS by March 3, 2020.

Important:
After completing the AHIP training requirement, click the “send my exam completion to Humana” link at the bottom of your transcripts page.  If you completed AHIP prior to beginning the Humana coursework, login to AHIP from the Humana course and transfer your score to Humana.  Once your AHIP score has been received by Humana, you will be able to move forward and complete the Humana portion of the Certification or Recertification course.

Plan Year 2021 Improvements: 
AHIP testing. Agents will have 6 attempts to successfully pass testing for AHIP.

Humana testing. The Humana portion of recertification will not have a test this year. Each agent will sign an attestation upon completion of the content stating that they will adhere to the guidance given.

Humana MarketPoint University. HMU has upgraded. HMU is easier to use and see. The website is also mobile & tablet friendly.

All products. Upon completion of Recertification for PY 2021, all agents will be certified to sell all products.
